This page explains, in plain English, what personal information ApplyForYou collects, why we collect it, how we protect it, and how long we keep it. ApplyForYou operates in Canada and follows the principles of the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).

Who we are

ApplyForYou is a small, hands‑on service based in Canada. You can reach us at info@applyforyou.org.

What we collect

  • Contact details: your name, email, phone (if you give it), and city/province.
  • Resume and work history: the information you share so we can apply for jobs on your behalf.
  • Job preferences: role, location, salary range, remote/hybrid, and anything else you tell us.
  • Login credentials (only if you share them): LinkedIn, Indeed, or job‑portal accounts where you want us to apply under your profile.
  • Application records: what we applied to, when, and proof of submission (for your records).

Why we collect it

We use your information for one purpose: to apply to jobs on your behalf and keep you informed about the work we do for you. We do not sell your data, share it with advertisers, or use it for any other service.

How we protect it

  • Your resume and personal details are handled with care and kept in secure systems with access limited to people who need them to deliver the service.
  • Our public website is served over HTTPS (TLS), so pages you load from our site are encrypted between your browser and our hosting provider when TLS is enabled, which is normal for modern hosting.
  • Email does not use HTTPS the same way a website does; it is delivered through email providers and is usually protected in transit between providers where standard encryption (such as TLS) is available. We send payment and service instructions by email only after you agree to sign up.

Who sees your data

Only the founder and employees of ApplyForYou who need your information to provide the service have access. We do not give access to outside contractors for application work. If our team grows, new employees are required to follow the same confidentiality rules before they receive access to client information.

How long we keep it

We keep your data while you are an active client. When you cancel, we delete your resume, credentials, and personal details within 30 days. We keep a minimal record (your name, email, and a note that you were a client) for tax and bookkeeping purposes, as required by the Canada Revenue Agency.

Your rights

  • Access: you can ask to see what we hold about you at any time.
  • Correction: you can ask us to correct anything that is wrong.
  • Deletion: you can ask us to delete your data. We will do so within 30 days (minus the minimal bookkeeping record noted above).
  • Withdraw consent: you can tell us to stop applying on your behalf at any time.

Cookies and analytics

This website uses Google Fonts for typography, which may set a standard HTTP request. We do not run advertising cookies. If we add privacy‑friendly analytics in the future (such as Plausible), we will update this page.

Changes to this page

If we make meaningful changes to this policy, we will update the date below and notify current clients by email.
